We happily invite you to join us for a leisurely afternoon of good food and wine in the outdoors of the beautiful surroundings of Elan Vineyard. Currently, the vineyard is captivatingly beautiful with autumn tones and vivid greens. Selma’s orchard trees are laden with seasonal fruits which I will include in our recipes.

The menu will be seasonal, fresh, flavoursome and of course be inspired by the recipes of three beautiful Sicilian women, my Nonna Giuseppa, my mother Pina and my mother in law Giuseppina.

In line with advice from health authorities and the Australian Government Department of Health regarding the recent developments with COVID–19, Selma and I are committed to taking extra precautions to ensure that we mitigate risk as much as possible.

Autumn is still sending us sunshine as winter slowly approaches. We are searching for comfort food to nourish our souls, little culinary treasures to warm our hearts.

So, I invite you to join me and Selma Lowther, boutique winemaker from Elan Vineyard, Balnarring for a little grazing and a relaxing cooking demonstration around the winery sitting near an open fire. Gather some friends, bring a shawl, sit and sip 4 wines selected by Selma to accompany 4 courses which I’ll create using local seasonal produce, some freshly picked and grown in my mamma’s and Selma’s garden. Fresh, flavoursome, traditional family recipes inspired and enjoyed by my big Sicilian family. Selma’s exquisite wines will be available for purchase on the day.

In the meantime, why not visit Selma and Elan Vineyard during the Mornington Peninsula Winter Wine Weekend 8-10 June, wine tasting, wine by the glass or bottle and gourmet frankfurts with homemade chutneys available for purchase.
